i'm sure there are a few here that i'm missing, but these are all of the ones i brought with me to university. i've also been meaning to make more, because i've bought a few things from bandcamp since i've last made any cds... i'll be sure to update this page when i do!

music softwares i use for cds and listening!

to download music i use musify by itubego, it lets you download from lots of places like spotify, youtube, soundcloud, etc. there is a free version of it but i've never used it so i can't speak to how good it is but i have the lifetime license version of it and it is definitely worth the price!

after downloading music i always go through it with mp3tag to make sure all of the album/track information is correct, and i also use discogs to correct album art if it transferred weirdly (it does that sometimes).

to listen to downloaded music on my phone i usually use nyx music player, i think it looks nice and it's pretty easy to use. sometimes it can be a bit of a pain to get it to play new music after adding it but aside from that i have no complaints!

aside from downloading things for free, i also use bandcamp a lot because i do prefer to support my favourite artists when i can, and my family also has a spotify subscription so i use that frequently as well. ^_^

favourites

here are some of my favourite albums or songs, embedded for your listening pleasure! feel free to leave this page open while you browse the rest of the site for some awesome tunes :3

WASTEISOLATION, Black Dresses:

an album about trauma, existence, anger, and transmisogyny. i found black dresses first through CARTOON NETWORK from their 2019 album LOVE AND AFFECTION FOR STUPID LITTLE BITCHES, and after exploring their discography i became enamoured with the song ETERNAL NAUSEA, and later the entire WASTEISOLATION album. my favourite song is RUNNER, with THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS and LEGACY as close seconds.

this album makes me feel craaaazy insane unwell sick in the head. on the floor keening screaming sobbing pulling my hair out etc but it's soooo good. the sounds are everything, i love both of their voices... this album is just incredible.

CUTIEMARKS And The Things That Bind Us), Vylet Pony:

this album is about the idea of purpose as it relates to the cutie mark crusaders in my little pony: friendship is magic, and about love and heartbreak, perseverance, identity, and trauma. i first discovered the album through the song LESBIAN PONIES WITH WEAPONS and i only listened to CUTIEMARKS on repeat for over a month. itโ€™s a jumble of different sounds and genres, but it works really well. my favourite song is probably NONEXISTANT MEET-CUTE or ISOMETRICA.

DEAR M4RIA < 3, xxxmyspaceslut:

just a nightcore/rave remix of dear maria count me in by all time low... i like to listen to this on full volume while jumping around in my room or rolling around on the floor. i really like the sounds in this, it's really satisfying to listen to with the bass turned all the way up, it's very head-pounding and also sounds kinda bonky... so awesome. i like the original well enough but i do think this version is an improvement ^_^

Peaceful as Hell, Black Dresses:

Peaceful as Hell is an album about a lot of different things: social connections, mental illness, and being transgender among the more obvious topics of the album. it took me a bit at first to get into this album, but it quickly became one of my favourites. my favourite song is probably DAMAGE SUPPRESSOR, but MiRRORGiRL and ANGEL HAIR come very close as well. i love the variety of sounds and the vocals in this album, ada and devi both have really great voices and i feel like they really compliment the style of music they produce. honestly black dresses never miss their music is always amazing.

Food House, food house:

Food House is the debut album of food house, comprised of gupi and fraxiom (so you know it's sick already). it's mainly about being yourself regardless of what others think, and has tons of references to things like the sonic the hedgehog franchise, skrillex, minecraft, simon cowell, and social media, among others. my favourite song is probably 8 now, but i discovered it through mos thoser which remains one of my favourites on the album as well.

Abbey Monastery, Kenta204:

Abbey Monastery is based on medieval monks studying and writing scripture, and a lot of the themes of the album are based off medieval and religious aspects as well. this album is super interesting to listen to, my favourite track is probably a tie between AWW and Treachery (Betrayal).

Desert Song, My Chemical Romance:

our first track not from bandcamp! this song is about being hopeful for the future despite the struggles of the past, as well as the band's early struggles and gerard way's struggles with substance abuse. i really love this song, i think how raw it sounds really adds to the message it's trying to send and i think the instrumentals fit with it perfectly.

Collide With The Sky, Pierce The Veil:

Collide With The Sky is an album that explores themes such as neglect, past relationships, pain, and being pushed to the breaking point. i really like this album because i think vic fuentes' voice is really unique and interesting, and i love the instrumentals in each track. my favourite track is I'm Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket by far, but i also love Hell Above, One Hundred Sleepless Nights, and King For A Day.
